Bode Zietz, II was called home to his Lord on October 19, 2022 after a six-year battle with cancer.

He was born March 24, 1945, in St. Louis Park, MN son of Delores and Bode W. Zietz, I.

Bode graduated from St. Louis Park High School. He was a proud Eagle Scout and the skills he learned as a scout carried him a long way in life and in work.  He was a master of all trades and was not afraid to take on new tasks.  Later in life he attended Lincoln Christian College where he became an ordained minister. After being ordained he worked in inner city mission which led him to become an alcohol counselor, a job he thoroughly. He considered this to be one of his greatest achievements.

He was a member of Rochester Christian Church, Rochester, IL.

He is survived by his wife, Marybeth; brothers Kim Zietz (Chriss) of Puerto Vallarta, Mex and William "Bucky" Zietz (Susan) of Sandy, UT; sons, Bode Zietz, III (Brenda) of Eastland, TX; Ken Fuiten (Janet) of Springfield, IL, Bill Fuiten (Leilani) of Forestville, CA; daughter-in-law, Lisa Zietz (Alex) of Broomfield, CO; daughters, Trina Horn of Decatur, IL, and Cyndi Siebert (Ron) of Montgomery, TX; nephews, Shawn Zietz of Fairbanks, AK and Chad Zietz (Kate) of Kent, WA.

Bode married Marybeth on November 24, 1978.  Together they share nineteen Grandchildren, thirty Great-Grandchildren and two Great-Great-Grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Bode was preceded in death by a son, Alex Zietz.

Bode was a man full of wit, generosity and faith.  He was a friend of Bill W's for 32 years.  Along the way he made lasting relationships and changed many lives with his dedication.

One of his greatest joys was when he and Marybeth lived the RV life.  They had many good years and fond memories traveling the United States.  Bode never had a problem making friends.  As they say 'he never met a stranger'.  He was very passionate about riding his bicycles and being in the outdoors. He was an avid reader, loved history and enjoyed cowboy poetry.  He longed for the simple cowboy way of life.

Bode touched many people while on this earth.  He will be missed by all knew and loved him.
