Christina L. Strickland, 53, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2025, at St. John's Hospital surrounded by her family and friends.

She was born October 16, 1971 in Springfield, the daughter of James R. Strickland Sr. and Sandy Strickland, both of whom preceded her in death.

She is survived by her brother, James Strickland Jr. (Kimberley Strickland) of Springfield; nieces, Kristen Landers (Amber Landers) of Lincoln, Alicia Reeves of Springfield, and one nephew, Derrick Geist of St. Louis. She had several friends who loved her dearly.

She graduated from Lanphier High School and had a Bachelor's degree in animal science. She worked at Building Blocks daycare, Purina in St Louis, Petco and currently at Help at Home as a caregiver. She never knew a stranger. She would help anyone anytime she was able. Her animals were her babies; Thor, Hoshi, Angel, and Chacha are just a few.

Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Southern View Chapel.
