Obituary

Deborah Belle Pohl passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026, surrounded by love & the care of her family.

She was fierce, strong-willed, and was never one to hold her tongue; behind that bold spirit was a heart that loved wholeheartedly and without hesitation. She loved the beach, the peace of the ocean, and the freedom it brought her. She loved horses and the strength and beauty they carried. She had a sweet tooth that could never quite be satisfied, and she never felt guilty about it. But above all else, she loved her great-granddaughters. They were her pride, her joy, and the light that softened even her toughest edges.

She is survived by her daughter, Tomica (Mikki) Sharp, her son, Toma Brown; her granddaughters: Ashley (John) Harris, Mackenzie Sharp, and Makala Brown; her great-granddaughters: Raine Harris, Gabriella Roach, & Hadleigh Smith; her sister, Sharon Thady; and her brother, Eldon Henrikson.

She is reunited in Heaven with her husband, David Pohl; her mother and father, Helen & Leonard Yates; and her sister, Patricia Williams.

She will be remembered for her strength, her honesty, her laughter, and the fierce love she poured into her family. May the sound of the ocean and the freedom of wild horses carry her spirit forward, just as her love will carry her family. She will be deeply missed.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no funeral services. Her family will gather at a later date for a celebration of life to honor her memory.
