SPRINGFIELD, IL – Donald Arthur Koehne, 87, of Springfield left this Earth at 8:33 a.m. on June 13, from Memorial Medical Center.

Donald was born on October 3 ^rd , 1932 in Springfield, IL, the son of Hazel and Arthur Koehne. He was a graduate of Feitshan's High School and later joined the Army where he served as a military policeman at Fort Knox during the Korean War. After returning from service, he began a successful career as an independent contractor and built homes for others until he retired.

Donald enjoyed garage sales, flying single prop planes, a good old-fashioned western movie, microwave popcorn and tinkering in the basement.

He was a great provider, a master craftsman, good at fixing up old things and his usual antics will be missed. His remains will be laid to rest in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Cremation was accorded by Premier Cremation Services.
