Jamie Scott Meszaros, 64, of Springfield, peacefully transitioned home to heaven on Friday, September 24, 2021, surrounded by family.

Jamie, who was born and raised in Springfield, dedicated her life to telling people about Jesus Christ. Her sweet spirit and joyful demeanor resonated with everyone who met her. Though she battled health issues from her early 30s, Jamie, a talented artist, was determined to share the Good News and encourage everyone she came into contact with. She was an excellent mother, raising 4 strong children. Jamie will be remembered and honored for her passion for the Lord, her gentleness, kindness and loving nature.

She was preceded in death by one son, baby boy, Luke James Meszaros, in 2000 and her husband of 24 years, Dave Meszaros, who passed just 2 weeks prior to her own transition to heaven.

She is survived by her brother, Jeff; daughters, Erin Thomas and Kristin Derrick; son, Mark Meszaros, two grandchildren, Saiah James and Sean Oakley, as well as a niece, 2 nephews and aunts and uncles. We celebrate her home-going, knowing she is finally healed, whole and alive in Christ.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 15, 2021, at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
