SPRINGFIELD, IL - Karen Johnson passed away Friday, February 5, 2021, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, surrounded by her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Mason Snow and Iva Mae Snow; one brother, William Snow; three sisters, Virginia Graham, Marilyn Meisenheimer and Norma Davidson.

Karen is survived in life by her significant other, Terry Tow; one brother, Enoch (Cathy) Snow; two sons, Scott (Jodi) Snow and Justin (Angela) Self; three grandsons, Brad Snow, Dakota Self and Damian Self; and several nieces and nephews.

Karen was a beautiful and loving person. She was extremely generous and willing to help everyone she could. She spent her lifetime loving and taking care of others and always wanting to help. She gave willingly of herself and made friends wherever she went. She loved to cook, go fishing and spend time with family and friends.

There will be no service at this time, the family will be planning a celebration of life.
