Karen Zaki passed away early Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Illinois at the age of 78.

She was born Karen Lou Allison, daughter of Frank and Bernice Allison, on November 15, 1942, and was raised in Murphysboro, Illinois. Karen married Robert B. Meyer II in 1966 and they had two children, Robert B. Meyer III and Matthew Dylan Meyer, who preceded her in death.

Karen spent the last 28 years of her life married to Bassem Zaki.  She is survived by Bassem, son, Robert, and grandson, Drake Steven Meyer.
