Laurie Ann Seger (Hinds), 61, aka Grandma, Mom, Aunt, Sister left our presence to be with God on Saturday June 28, 2025, at 8:48 a.m.

She was born August 20, 1963, to Howard & Jeanne Hinds. She was preceded in death by her mother; her son, Edward R. Seger III; and great-nephew, Noah M. Edwards.

Laurie was a beautiful soul that truly loved her family and friends. She was an avid Cubs fan and loved watching her favorite shows, "Bones" & "Ghost Whisper". She also loved cooking and spending time with her daughter, Erica, sister, Jeanie, companion, James, as well as babysitting her beautiful granddaughter, Laylah Ann.  She also enjoyed spending the holidays with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Erica Nichole Seger; granddaughter, Laylah Ann Goldsberry; father, Howard (Vicki) Hinds; brother, Mark Hinds (great-nephew, Nicholas), sister, Jeanie (Paul) Edwards; significant other, James Leffler; nieces, Deanna (Brandon) Sherrer and Kayla (Chris) Brinkmeyer; two great-nephews, Wesley and Wyatt; one great-niece, Willow; nephews, Jason Edwards and Kyle Edwards; her dog, Buddy and her two cats, Honey and Fluffy.

Memorial Service and Visitation will be held Monday July 21, 2025, 4:30-6:00 p.m. at The HOP (House of Prayer), 3253 S. 4th Street, Springfield, Illinois 62703 (Northwest corner of S. 4th & St. Joseph St.)

There will be a graveside service & a celebration of life to be held on future date that will be posted to the obituary link and to family & friends Facebook pages.
