Marcella Louise Mick, of Petersburg, IL, passed away on Tuesday July 21, 2026 at Memorial Medical Center.

She was born in Chandlerville on August 23, 1934 to Orville Koehne and Gertrude Anderson.

Marcella was a home maker most of her life.

She was proceeded in death by both parents; an infant sister, Rita Sue Koehne; sister, Ruth Jeanette Dobson; brother, Glenn Koehne; grandchildren, Christopher M. Newingham, Sophia Armstrong and Justin L. Armstrong.

Marcella is survived by her brothers, Richard and Gene Koehne; sister, Nelda Turner;

Daughters, Melanie Pierson of Oakford, Illinois, Charla Armstrong of Oakford, Illinois and Susan Taapken of Zephyrhills, Florida; sons, Floyd L. Taapken Jr. “Buddy” of Springfield, Illinois and Tomas (Tommy) of Petersburg, Illinois; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
