Springfield - Melba L. Scroggins 61, passed away on Sunday, June 15,2025.

She was born in Springfield IL on July 15, 1963 to Harry & Helen Bacon; both of whom preceded her in death. She married Mark Scroggins on September 28, 1996, and he preceded her in death on October 28, 2021.

Melba was a lifelong server & worked @ Sportsman's Lounge for many years. Her smile, sense of humor & kindness will be greatly missed! She was a very strong woman who gave it her all in her illness.

Melba is survived by her son, Zachary Wayne (Ellen); grandson, Joshua; sisters, Debbie Wolff of Springfield, Sherry Bacon of Springfield and Sandy Hite of Tennessee; several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and a great-great-niece.

Cremation rites will be accorded and per Melba's wishes, no service will be held.
