Melvin "Darren " Bounds of Springfield died February 6, 2025 at home.

Darren was born October 15, 1965 in Springfield parents Leroy C. And Nancy Sue Hollis Bounds.

Darren is preceded in death by his parents and Step Father Fred "Bud" Landgrebe.

Darren is survived by daughters, Lillian Bounds-Baxter (Brett) of Lamont, Iowa and Stacey Barreras of Springfield; stepmother, Connie Peavy of Dawson; siblings, Debra Wake (Kevin) of Davis Junction, Deanna Becker (Ron) of Springfield, Dwain Bounds (Yolanda) of Chandlerville and Jeremy Bounds (Stephanie) of Dawson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Darren grew up in Dawson and graduated from Tri-City High School. He loved fishing, cooking and spending time with friends and family. Darren worked for many years at Pryco in Mechanicsburg and Jungle Jim's restaurant in Springfield.

No funeral services are planned. Cremation accorded at Premier Cremation Services in Springfield.  A celebration of Life will take place at a later time.
