Obituary

Our Dad, Ronald Lee Antonacci, 78, of Riverton, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at Lewis Memorial Christian Village. He was born April 9, 1942, to Fred and Della (Gantt) Antonacci.

Ron attended and graduated from Riverton High School, where he loved to play basketball. After high school, Ron moved to California and lived in Huntington Beach for 30 years. He owned a mobile home and carport business. Ron loved to play cards and in particular, poker. He taught his children and grandchildren the art of poker. If there was a deck of cards, he was always ready to play. After raising his children, 20 years ago he moved back to Riverton to care for his parents until their deaths and continued to reside in his childhood home. Ron was a supportive, loving Father and Grandfather.  He taught his children how to love life and go after their dreams and will be missed immensely on this earth. Ron trusted Jesus as his Savior and that through His death, burial and resurrection – we have the promise that we will be reunited with him one day in heaven.

Survivors include one son, Ronald Anthony Antonacci; two daughters, Rhonda Lisa Antonacci and Tonya Lynn Piazza (Anthony); four grandchildren, Jake Antonacci, Amber Battle (Michael), Dominic Piazza (Ashely) and Jessica Piazza; three great-grandchildren, Annaleigh, Brooks and Jude Battle; his former spouse, Brenda (Reed) Zachary and many wonderful friends.

Ron was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Della Antonacci; and his sister, Barbara (Tom) Hampson.

A private memorial service will be held at his children's home in Lakeland, Florida.
