Scott D. Allan, 47, of Springfield passed away Sunday, March 29, 2020, at Memorial Medical Center.

He was born May 29, 1972 in Buffalo, New York to Charles and Wanda (Davenport) Allan. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Scott was a US Army Veteran and served in the Iraq War. He was awarded the Commendation medal, Achievement medal, National Defense Service medal, Global War on Terrorism Service medal, Iraq Campaign medal, and Overseas service ribbon. He was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed fishing, reading, and spending time with loved ones.

He is survived by his daughters, Lindsay and Hailey Allan of Springfield, IL; his sisters, Ruth (husband, Brian) Oliver, Jane Allan, and Wendy Allan, of Springfield, IL; his nieces and nephews, and many friends and distant relatives.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 13, 2020, at Old Salem Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Inter-Veterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County and the Department of Defense

A Celebration of Life will be held following the graveside service from noon until 2 p.m. at the Lake Press Club, 13 Club Area Drive in Springfield.
