About Our Crematory

In recent years, our family has realized that more families in Springfield and surrounding areas are selecting cremation as a final means of disposition. We want to make certain that the best possible care is taken in the cremation process, and we ensure this by having our own crematory on site. Our newly constructed building located at 458 West Vine Street in Springfield houses a new, state-of-the-art crematory. Our facility is monitored 24 hours a day by interior and exterior surveillance cameras with a DVR recording system and a full security and fire alarm system. This security system, in combination with our family living on premises, gives your family the peace of mind that your loved one is safe and protected from the time we take him/her into our care until we return the urn to you. Our facility also offers families the option for a private viewing prior to the cremation or witnessing the start of the cremation in a comfortable, home-like environment. At Premier Cremation Services, we welcome tours and inspections at any time. Our crematory is managed and operated by Certified Crematory Operators and a Licensed Funeral Director. Every cremation is performed ethically and in a dignified manner. Once the cremated remains are removed from the chamber, we use a vacuum process to thoroughly clean the chamber and collect any residual cremated remains. This is performed following every cremation, thus eliminating the risk of commingling remains.
